Summary of Requirement: Control System by Trane Tracer Ensemble The USACE team for the subject project is proposing to use the Trane Tracer Ensemble for the building automation system (BAS). The design requires two (2) controllers and integration with the existing front-end BAS server and is estimated to cost $16,000. The Fort Drum base standard for control systems is a Trane Tracer Control system. The existing equipment on base utilizes the Ensemble BAS software for base-wide control and monitoring, and buildings are already equipped with Tracer controllers. Therefore, integration with the existing campus Trane system is crucial. The use of the Trane Tracer Ensemble system will allow for easy integration into the existing system and will not require additional training for facility staff. Additionally, Trane products are commercially available off the shelf and are compliant with the Buy American Act. Other manufacturer products are not compatible with the existing Trane system. Any vendor that wishes to provide an alternate source to the brand name abovethat is compatible with the above must provide a response with data supporting the claim within 15 business days of this announcement to New York District Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division.
