These vehicles will be picked up and returned in Anchorage. Cold Regions Test Center requires one (1) large cab/full sized, four-door trucks fully winterized and AWD/4WD, that is capable of carrying at least five (5) personnel to support these tests and transport soldiers to/from their units and to participate in cold weather testing from 22 January 2024 – 2 February 2024. This vehicle will be picked up and returned in Fairbanks. Below specifically details the Total Vehicle quantities needed, broken down by pick up/drop off location and date: Anchorage Requirement - (Pickup Anchorage 15 January - Return Anchorage 10 February) • Four (4) full sized SUV (capable of seating 7 each) fully winterized and AWD/4WD • Nine (9) large cab/full sized, four-door trucks (capable of seating 5 each) fully winterized and AWD/4WD Fairbanks Requirement - (Pickup Fairbanks 22 January - Return Fairbanks 2 February) • One (1) large cab/full sized, four-door trucks (capable of seating 5) fully winterized and AWD/4WD Note: Below specifically details the two (2) separate lines of accounting for this requirement. Miles per day will vary depending on the test location and vehicle usage and is estimated above. Rates include maintenance and unlimited mileage. An 11% Airport concession fee will apply for vehicles picked up in the vicinity of Fairbanks International Airport, and an 18% concession fee will apply for vehicles picked up in the vicinity of Anchorage International Airport. Rentals less than 90 days will be assessed a State of Alaska Vehicle Tax of 10%. Preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, if required will be the responsibility of the rental company. Gasoline will be purchased using test funds.
