## Description

This action was to support the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) for the procurement of brand name Thermo-Calc Maintenance and Support that will be purchased on a Firm-Fixed Price delivery order under the Army’s Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) program.

It is mandated by the Army to procure all commercial IT hardware and software through CHESS to the extent such IT products and services are available under the multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts established under CHESS. CHESS is the Army’s primary source for information technology (IT) hardware, software, and services. These licenses were competed amongst the CHESS authorized resellers under one award order.

Therefore, satisfying the publicizing of contract action in accordance with AFARS 9-4 and AFARS 5139.101-90 Policy. This action was for the procurement of brand name software license renewal, upgrades, and maintenance support for ThermoCalc Software (base and two option years):
