The Marine Design Center of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a solicitation in the near future to procure services to execute the overhaul of the drift collection vessel HAYWARD. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, fittings, equipment, tools, power, heat, water, etc., and performing all work on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Drift Collection Vessel "HAYWARD" specified herein. No.................................................. 7500277 The major workscope includes drydocking the vessel, cleaning and painting the hull, assisting with ABS and USCG required inspections, and miscellaneous modifications and repairs in accordance with these specifications. The Contractor is not responsible for the costs associated with providing the inspection services of ABS. ABS will be performing an ABS Special Survey during the drydocking. The period of performance will be 45 days from delivery of the vessel to the Contractor’s yard. There will be Liquidated Damages associated with this procurement. Bonding is not required. There will be a mileage based cost differential applied to offers. Prior to the award of this Contract, the Contractor shall enter into a "Mastership Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels". If the Contractor has entered such an agreement prior to this Contract, that agreement may be utilized. The NAICS Code for this project will 336611 – Ship Building and Repairing and the small business size standard is 1,300 employees.
