The scope of that contract included hydraulic hoist stem scoring repair, re-chroming, installation of a new wiper seal, and correction of a hoist brake leak. During contract modification, additional repair work was also completed on Gate Stems No. 3 and No. 4. After successful completion of these rehabilitation efforts, the Tri-Lakes Project Office has decided to initiate a similar comprehensive rehabilitation service contract for Service Gate Stems No. 2 and No. 5. This proactive measure is intended to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the intake service gates.
