The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District (SWL), has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract at Bull Shoals Powerhouse to remove and replace the “T3” bank of transformers with one three-phase gas-insulated GSU 120,000 kVA transformer. FAR Part 6.302-1(c)(1) is not intended to be used for the entire contract; rather, only the item listed below unless the results of this notice indicate otherwise. Three-phase gas-insulated GSU 120,000 kVA transformer – Toshiba The Government will not purchase transformer from Toshiba directly, but it will be a brand name specification requirement in the Design Bid Build (DBB) solicitation that will lead to the FFP construction contract. *This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow SWL to be able to determine if the interested party provide the requirement described herein. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
