## Description

Notice of Intent to Increase BPA Ceiling and Call Limit for Tainter Gate Primary Gearbox Repair Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District (SWL) intends to issue modifications to BPAs W9127S23A0001 (0001) and W9127S23A0002 (0002) to increase the call limit from $25K to $500K and the BPA ceiling from $2M to $5M.

**Intended Recipients:** KBH Thompson, LLC, 4480 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna, GA 30080 (0001) and Atlanta Gear Works, Inc., 483 Hightower Parkway, Dawsonville, GA 30534 (0002)

**Justification for Increases:** BPAs 0001 and 0002 were competitively established on May 16, 2023, and their ordering period does not end until May 15, 2028. SWL issued these BPAs for inspection, repair, rehabilitation, and/or purchase and/or installation of new primary and possibly secondary gearboxes on the MKARNS and White River Basin dam Tainter Gates using the NAICS 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing.

During the Contracting Officer’s (KO) annual review of the BPA files IAW FAR 13.303-6, there was clear evidence of market changes that result in much higher prices than what were anticipated when these BPAs were awarded. This is NOT a request for Quotes. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and that the interested potential Offeror can supply the Government’s needs as stated above. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. Responses must be received via email to the point of contact by the response time in the notice.
