The Dredge Yaquina is a U.S. flagged vessel owned by the federal government. The vessel is currently fully inspected under the authority of the U. S. Coast Guard. Requirements for maintaining certificates authorizing the operation of this vessel in U.S. territorial waters. The Dredge Yaquina was re-powered in phases between 2008 and 2012 to increase efficiency and dredging production. At this time, the propulsion system was upgraded to accommodate the new main propulsion engine and reduction gear. This included new propulsion shaft design, hub assembly, and propeller blade design. These were provided by the original equipment manufacturer, Hundested Propeller. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 333613.
