The scope of the work will consist of the Contractor furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to fabricate, paint, and deliver the miter gates and parts in accordance with plans and specifications. The set of miter gates contains two leaves. The Demopolis lower miter gates are approximately 55 feet tall and 62 feet wide each weighing approximately 445,000 lbs. per leaf for a total weight of approximately 900,000 lbs. The Contractor will be required to deliver the gates by barge to Coffeeville Lock. The Contractor will also be required to take ownership of the old gates and haul them off by barge at the time of delivery of the new gates. The Government will offload the new gates and load the old gates onto the Contractor?s barges. The anticipated award date is 31 March 2026.
