## Description

**Subject:** Dry dock to perform routine maintenance on the S/V DAMRELL.

**Text:** Market Research and Sources Sought Notice for information on capability and availability of potential contractors interested in proposing on a Firm Fixed Price Contract to Dry Dock and perform Repairs to S/V DAMRELL, between Pensacola, FL and Gulfport, MS. The scope of the work consists of dry-docking the S/V DAMRELL and performing the repairs and other work described by these Technical Specifications.

The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, fittings, tools, power, lubricants, fuel, water, etc., necessary to accomplish the work within the time period specified. The contractor will also furnish the necessary facilities for and bear the expense of any movement of the plant while it is in his possession. The contractor shall provide and bear the expense of shore power to the vessel while it is at the contractor’s facility.

The contractor shall bear the expense of any electricity needed to complete this work. Should the removal or shifting of any parts of the plant or its fittings, stores, fuel, water, etc., be necessary for the carrying out of the repairs specified, the same shall be done by the contractor and all such removals shall be subsequently replaced and any damage or loss resulting there from shall be made good by the contractor at his expense. The contractor shall bear the cost of storing any fuel, oil, or other materials.

The contractor should propose an all-inclusive cost for each CLIN to perform the entire job, unless specifically stated otherwise. Should any portion of the plant's structure, fixtures or equipment require alteration in order to carry out the work, the contractor shall notify the government to discuss options for how to address within the cost constraints of the work item. The contractor will provide a minimum full one (1) year warranty on all parts, products and workmanship.

Should any portion of the plant’s structure, fixtures or equipment require alteration to carry out the work, even though not specifically mentioned herein, the contractor shall make such alterations at his expense. The S/V DAMRELL is an aluminum, hydrofoil assisted, catamaran survey vessel. Her general dimensions are as follows:

length of 69’, beam of 24’-5”, depth molded of 9’-5 ¼”, maximum displacement of 110,000 lbs. Due to the sensitive nature of the hull mounted transducers and special arrangement of the hull with the hydrofoils, the vessel is to be hauled out of the water with a marine travel lift only.
