## Description

This is a Notice of Intent to make a Sole Source Award for the purchase of four (4) horses with driving experience, gun and crown desensitization, and riding to the Fort Sill Artillery Half Section, 428th FA Brigade (BDE), Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Description THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENDED SOLE SOURCE AWARD.

Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Sill, Oklahoma, intends to award a SOLE SOURCE to Haste Draft Horses & Mules, 1271 Halon Young Rd., Liberty, KY 42539. The items to be provided to the Half Section are 4 horses (2 teams of 2 horses each) that are trained to pull equipment in the wheel (nearest the equipment) and swing (middle) positions, ride, and are desensitized to traffic, gunfire, crowds, and other random distractions.

All four horses are matching castrated male (geldings) Percheron and Percheron cross in breed. To prevent mission failure for the 428th Fort Sill Artillery Half Section, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i) under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement shall be awarded as a firm fixed price contract.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 112920, size standard $2.75 million. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit or negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all capabilities received within seven (7) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any questions must be made in writing and directed to:
