## Description

This is a non-personal services contract request to provide lodging, and facilities to support 240 Cadets and 60 Cadre from the HISD JROTC Program and surrounding schools (24 Programs), in and around training sites within 10 miles of Galveston, TX during the Houston ISD JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) JCLC/STEM Camp from 16-22 June 2024. The requirement includes co-located fixed-facility, climate-controlled lodging accommodations with adequate ventilation and personal space for 240 Cadets and 60 Cadre.

Lodging accommodations shall include male and female bathhouses equipped with toilets, toilet paper, sinks, hand soap, paper towels, running hot water, showers with privacy draping and changing areas. The male and females require separated lodging areas.

The requirement also includes the use of two (2) co-located classrooms within the lodging areas, a large multi-use conference area with open space and seating for 300 people (minimum of 11,273 SF) that can be partition into three (3) open/seated areas each seating 80 people and two (2) additional co-located classrooms.

The classrooms shall be capable to be setup for STEM activities, to be taught by the JROTC Cadre, that include the Sea Perch Underwater Drones, VEX Robotics, Robolink Drone instruction (indoor operation) and meet all COVID-19 safety protocols. Classroom seating capacity will accommodate up to 80 students per individual classroom. The large multi-use conference area/partitioned areas shall accommodate indoor aerial drone use as well as indoor VEX robotic operations.

The requiring activity also requires (1) safe and maintained swimming pool with both shallow and deep areas capable of accommodating 40-45 cadets at a time, all with diverse swimming skill levels as well as adequate, certified lifeguards. This requirement includes parking spaces needed for ten (10) JROTC assigned vehicles and space to temporarily accommodate up to five (5) commercial buses for up to a two (2) hour period.
