The current server, CPU, and software for the Access Control and Monitoring system was installed in 2021. Twenty of the 25 cameras were installed in 2012. The aging of the cameras limits the full functionality of the surveillance system. Four of the cameras in key areas of the facility are no longer operational. CEMSF does not have the capabilities or the expertise to perform preventative maintenance services on those cameras. Surveillance cameras are a necessity in and around the facility and a deterrent against theft, unlawful entrance, and access. Shack downs and searches are not performed on personnel entering and exiting the facility.
