## Description

QUOTES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED THROUGH UNISON Specification for Buildable Trench shielding System GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. These specifications establish the requirements to furnish a two-sided aluminum buildable panel trench shielding system. The shielding system, also known as a trench box, must be comprised of tongue and grove panels, corner posts, and an adjustable strut system. The system needs to be held together by pin and keeper system for easy set up and break down.

The buildable panel box system must have panels two foot in height by ten foot long and be stackable up to eight foot in total height. The panel box requires four eight-foot-long corner posts, four telescoping spreaders having an adjustable range between 36 inches to 48 inches. The buildable panel box system must be secured by easily removable pins and keepers rated for use in the requested application. The trench box must have the ability to add panels to the open ends of the trench shoring system.

The total weight of the buildable panel box system must not exceed 3,000 lbs. and must be movable using securely installed lifting lugs at the corners of the system. Training from the manufacturer on the proper use and construction of the trench shielding system is required.

1.1 The trench shielding system will be delivered to US Army Corps of Engineers 1665 Auen Road Saltsburg, PA 15681-8127 with the following salient characteristics: Panel Box Pins – multiple required for box assembly Panel Box Keepers (used to keep pins in place) Telescoping spreaders - 36 inches to 48 inches Panel Box Lifting Lugs – Mounted on top of box corners 96” Aluminum Corner Posts Aluminum Box Panels (2’X10’) 2.0 SUBMITTALS.

The vendor is required to submit one (1) copy of the Operation and Maintenance Manual, Owner’s Manual, and Spare Parts List to the delivery location. 3.0 TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. Technical questions may be directed to Scott Bartholomew at 724-301-4294 or William Andree at 724-541-8635 during normal business hours of operation. 4.0 WARRANTY. The two-sided aluminum buildable panel trench shielding system shall have a manufacturer’s warranty for material and/or workmanship for a period of one year from date of delivery.

5.0 DELIVERY. The two-sided aluminum buildable panel trench shielding system shall be crated, boxed, or otherwise packaged to the extent necessary to prevent damage during shipment. All costs for repair and or replacement of damaged parts during transportation and delivery is the responsibility of the vendor. 5.1 TIME OF DELIVERY. The Government requires delivery of the two-sided aluminum buildable panel trench shielding system within 60 days after the date of a written notice of contract award.

5.2 PLACE OF DELIVERY. The two-sided aluminum buildable panel trench shielding system supplied under this contract as specified in section 1.1 shall be delivered F.O.B. destination, transportation charges prepaid, to the following location: William Andree – Conemaugh River Lake 1665 Auen Road Saltsburg, PA 15681-8127 Telephone 724-541-8635 QUOTES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED THROUGH UNISON
