Not included are guide rails approaching bridge, hand rails or transition plates on bridge deck. Contractor is responsible for protecting active pipe and conduit under the bridge. Contractor is responsible for removing or protecting abandoned pipe and conduit under the bridge. Contractor will remove prior to painting and blasting. b. Entire steel bridge super structure to be repainted as described in 09 97 02 PAINTING: HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES. Not included are guide rails approaching bridge, handle rails or transition plates on bridge deck. c. A new fence and gate will be installed post painting. Contractor is responsible for removing signage from existing fence gate and installing the signage on the new gate. d. Existing bridge paint coatings contain lead based coating and shall be properly removed and disposed in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and provisions. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. Per FAR 36.204(e) the magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This acquisition will be procured as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 5 February 2024, online through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. Contractor is responsible for removing or protecting abandoned pipe and conduit under the bridge. Contractor will remove prior to painting and blasting. b. Entire steel bridge super structure to be repainted as described in 09 97 02 PAINTING: HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES. Not included are guide rails approaching bridge, handle rails or transition plates on bridge deck. c. A new fence and gate will be installed post painting. Contractor is responsible for removing signage from existing fence gate and installing the signage on the new gate. d. Existing bridge paint coatings contain lead based coating and shall be properly removed and disposed in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and provisions.
