Water Distribution Improvements which will include the following work: Installation of new gate valves at an estimated (26) different locations throughout the City’s distribution system and at the Liberty Avenue Water Storage Tank. Replacement of the existing waterline along Indiana Avenue between Third Street & Fourth Street including all appurtenances. The necessary permit for the aforementioned improvements has been obtained from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources - Office of Environmental Health Services. Water Treatment Plant Building/Site Improvements which will include the following options: Option #1 – Removal & replacement of Interior/Exterior Lighting. Option #2 – Removal & replacement of the Clearwell Access Doors/Frames. Option #3 – Removal & replacement of specific Interior & Exterior Doors/Frames. Option #4 – Exterior building brick repair. Option #5 – Removal & Replacement of the building roof (not including decking). Note: Requirements for the testing & potential abatement of asbestos related to the removal of specific existing roof materials have been included in the plans & specifications. Option #6 – Removal & replacement of the site Entrance Driveway.
