**Section 1:** Salient Characteristics To be considered technically acceptable, the offered equipment must meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: ?

**Engine and Power:** Must feature a commercial-grade, minimum 31-hp(23.1-kW) air-cooled gasoline engine (e.g., Briggs and Stratton Vanguard or equal) equipped with electric start and a high-capacity remote air intake filter ?

**Spoils Capacity:** Equipped with a minimum 800-gallon (3,028-L) steel spoils/debris tank designed specifically for HDD drilling fluid cleanup ?

**Freshwater Utility (Soft Excavation):** Must include a integrated freshwater system with a minimum 100-gallon (379-L) water tank capable of delivering up to 3,000-psi (207-bar) pressure for utility potholing and soft excavation ?Filtration System: Must include a high-capacity filtration setup featuring an integrated carryover chamber (to filter contaminants before they hit the blower) and a washable/reusable filter to minimize maintenance costs and maximize system uptime ?Operational Control and Safety: ?
