Maximum nitrogen consumption needs to be 15 L/min or less for nebulization and drying purposes. Autotuning function must be included that optimizes both positive and negative ion modes, all scan speeds, mass axis calibration, sensitivity, and mass resolution automatically with a single tuning solution. Must include a system check to provide essential information on the status of the instrument and can be integrated into batches for smooth maintenance and troubleshooting. Scan speed needs to be 15,000 u/sec in 0.1u steps without reducing scan mass range. Scan step resolution should be 0.7u at all scan speeds.
