## Description

The 923rd /Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) – Fort Riley, Kansas intends to award a minimum of Two (2) Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for fire extinguisher maintenance services and related supplies. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non?personal services necessary to perform Fire Extinguisher Maintenance services for Fort Riley Kansas as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Description of agreement. This is a “Blanket Purchase Agreement” (BPA). It is established in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.303 and Subpart 16.7. A BPA is “a simplified method of filling anticipated repetitive needs for supplies or services by establishing ‘charge accounts’ with qualified sources of supply.” FAR 13.301?1(a). The contractor shall inspect, service, hydrostatic test, recharge, and certify fire extinguishers.

Services will include the six-year service and Demilling as directed to ensure fire extinguisher meet standards found in section 10 of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and applicable Army regulations. The contractor shall provide inspection labels affixed to each fire extinguisher upon completion of services. The exact Fire Extinguisher to be serviced is the Amerex Model 490 (Wheeled), Purple K Potassium Bicarbonate Base.

Service orders will be scheduled in advance, and will be between 10 and 12 Extinguishers per order. The entire fleet of extinguishers numbers 63 units. The contract resultant from this solicitation will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Blanket Purchase Agreement, Base Year + 4 Option Years contract.
