Contractor personnel shall be trained and certified for maintenance service on the Government-owned Abbott iSTAT1 Analyzers. Contractor shall also provide, at no additional charge to the Government, replacement of products specified in the performance-based statement of work, which are deemed to be malfunctioning after consultation with contractor technical support personnel. Malfunctioning products covered under this contract will be replaced with a replacement product shipped to the Government’s designated location via an overnight courier, priority service when possible. This requirement is for a period of performance from 1 October 2025 through 30 September 2030, plus FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend. The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole source to Abbott Laboratories Inc. Abbott Laboratories is the only source that manufactures and distributes services for the Abbott i-STAT1 Analyzer system. The server used for data management and result interfacing requires software upgrades, which is proprietary to and distributed exclusively by Abbott Laboratories.
