## Description

Seeking capability statements from contractors with resources to provide exclusive, daily, timely transportation of approximately 60 military/civilian dependents back and forth from military installation to multiple schools within the local school district area (two routes in the morning and two routes in the afternoon).

Requested services would align with school calendar year, which begins in August and ends in June (approximately 176 days), and includes late starts, early dismissal, and makeup days due to incelement weather, etc. Additionally, interested contractors shall submit capabilities to provide emergency busing services.

Contractor shall indicate whether or not buses can arrive within 30 minutes of receipt of emergency notification; and must also indicate whether or not emergency busing services could be provided weekdays from approximately 6a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from the military installation to within a 15 mile radius in Iowa or Illinois for approximately 330 children ranging in age from infant to 18 years, and approximately 85 adults.

Estimated period of performance includes one base year and four subsequent, one-year option periods. Interested providers shall be able to provide glossy yellow school buses which are equipped with a Stop Signal Arm, eight blinking lights, 39 inch seat backs, and have "School Bus" marking labels. Additionally, interested parties shall conform to the "Highway Safety Program Guideline No. 17 Pupil Transporation Safety" (see Attachment 1) and 625 ILCS 5/Ch. 12 Art.

VIIITR heading Article VIII "Special Requirements for School Buses" (see Attachment 2). Bus shall also be equipped with interior cameras with sound and video, with the capability to capture and store 30 days of passenger surveillance. Interested contractors shall indicate whether or not they can provide, within 30 days of date requested, footage from a specific date when needed in .wmv file format.
