## Description

The contractor shall:

a. Verify service members have obtained clearance from the member’s primary care provider to perform the activities recommended by the contractor.

b. Provide nutrition consulting services.

c. Provide educational group classes and materials.

d. Perform body composition analysis.

e. Provide forward injury prevention, injury prevention, and performance optimization services.

f. Provide analysis and reports as required. Required qualifications to perform these services are:

a. Current Oregon Licensed Registered Dietician (RD) by the Oregon Health Licensing Office; or b. A degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, or food systems management from a regionally accredited college or university approved by the Board of Licensed Dietitians and have received RD credentials form the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); or c. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Human Nutrition, Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or Food Systems Management but prefer a Master degree and a Certified Nutritionist Specialist; or d. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science, and/or Sport Sciences. Certification in one of the following:

the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), or a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) credential through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology is desired, but not required.
