CR-4KR - a Solid State Media Cracker. It is the governments intent to go sole source to Data Security Inc,0B8L1 as they are the manufacturer and sole provider of the CR-4KR Solid State Media Cracker; Data Security, Inc.0B8L1, and have no authorized distributors in the USA. 1.1 PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS Device will be operable by anyone with minimum training. It will need to be able to open smart phones, tablets and solid-state drives to allow quick and safe access to remove batteries and memory bearing circuits. Data Security, Inc. CR-4KR is the only device found to provide this service. **1.2 INCIDENTAL SERVICE:** In addition to the supply (supplies) described above, the contractor shall also provide 1 year Parts, Labor and On-site service. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
