The future solicitation will be issued as a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. Requirements are summarized as follows: Description: The U.S. Department of Transportation, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA, intends to issue a solicitation for One road switcher locomotive with 2-year full-service warranty to be delivered to U.S. Air Force, Joint-base Charleston, South Carolina. It is of high interest for the locomotive to be a rear-cab configured, switching style locomotive, including operating service preparation, training, and one year’s worth of spare parts.
