## Description

USUHS awarded a sole-source, firm-fixed-price commercial contract to Bruker Biospin Corporation (Bruker) to upgrade a 7 Tesla Preclinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Bruker BioSpec 70/20. The upgrade will enhance the existing MRI scanner with an advanced gradient package to apply new pulse sequences for imaging. The upgrade includes hardware, software updates, and vendor provided training. The 7 Tesla Preclinical MRI scanner is manufactured by Bruker and contains proprietary hardware and software. Bruker is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will meet agency requirements.
