## Description

The Volpe Center provides support to the USAF. There are 73 Air Force Air Traffic Control Towers operating Standard Terminal Automation Replacement Systems (STARS) which will be converted from analog to digital video display signaling. It is anticipated that 62 facilities will be CONUS, and 11 facilities will be OCONUS. The Volpe Center requires a contractor to provide skilled professionals who have worked in Air Traffic Control Environment.

The personnel will be required to relocate/install electronic equipment, provide/install fiber from equipment room to the cab, install cables/equipment in the cab, and assist in video testing new fiber and equipment. The challenge will be to meet an aggressive two-year schedule. Two professionals will be needed per site; some sites will have one government employee and one contractor personnel.

At the first site, the government will train the contractor on what is expected, and the contractor will be expected to train their remaining personnel. The Volpe Center intends to solicit a single firm-fixed-price award, with other CLIN types as needed. This work will include, but is not limited to:

• Providing skilled professional support for STARS digital video upgrade. • Providing and installing fiber optic cables at each site. • Coordinating with Volpe and site POC, no later than three weeks prior to travel and prior to work start onsite. • Providing pictures of the fiber transceiver and the video splitter in the cab to assist in determining what fiber connectors are needed for the spare fiber if the second option of fiber is provided. • Providing, per site, two personnel, two days onsite and two days travel for CONUS; three to four additional days for combined sites. • Provide a Daily Status Report. The Classificiation section above does not reflect the full list of possible NAICS codes. Full details are on the attached "Sources Sought for Digital Video" PDF.
