Temperature control option. Bubble detector to detect air in the sample line. Automated clog detection and sort protection system. Optical sensitivity and resolution to detect bacteria. Is functionally compatible with the Baker BioProtect III Biosafety cabinet that the unit will be operated within. Allows continuation of ongoing experiments. Must have five (5) lasers in the standard configuration, potentially adding 4 lasers. Must contain simultaneous 50 parameter detection of 48 fluorescence markers plus forward scatter (FSC) and side scatter (SSC) signals. Upgradable to at least 60 parameters with increased laser capability. Must include LED pulser technology or equivalent measurements for Quality Control (QC) by measuring relative background. Must use high quality square form PMT and GaAs/GaAsP detectors. Requires the use of standard FACS-DIVA software, which is compatible with existing instruments, including the other existing BD-S6 cell sorter. Must process Flow Cytometry Standard files in version.3.1 for use in the BD-FlowJo software for standard and advanced multidimensional data analysis.
