No funds have been authorized, appropriated for this effort. **Purpose and Objectives:** The National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) conducts numerous research studies and operational activities which involves the detection and quantitation of small molecules. Ion chromatographs are instruments used for the measurement of specific ions at concentrations at or exceeding parts-per-billion. At NWRC, such instrumentation is primarily used for characterization of samples which may contain sodium nitrite. This is a single source requirement that is proprietary to Thermo Fisher. It has been determined as the only one responsible source as determined in accordance with procedures prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b) and the anticipated contract action is hereby publicized in accordance with FAR 5.101 and FAR 5.203. The purpose of this notification is to communicate the Governments intent to solicit and award a non-competitive purchase of this service. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS. The NAICS code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Product Service Code is 6640 - Laboratory Equipment And Supplies. This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement.
