The option may be exercised in increments of one year by written notice at least 7 days prior to expiration. A long-term agreement with a base period exceeding one year allows suppliers to benefit from wholesale-volume pricing by encouraging them to lock in pricing by entering into appropriate agreements with their subcontractors. Utilizing such arrangements helps to ensure that our requirements, especially for Fence Post Metal items (traditionally identified as high frequency, high demand consumable items) can be expeditiously met. The Government will make an award, as a result of this solicitation, to the responsible offeror, offering the lowest price, whose offer conforms to all of the terms and conditions set forth in this solicitation. All items must be quoted, no exception.
