Rock salt shall comply with ASTM D632-99, Type 1 Grade 1. The Government intends to award one (1) contract as a result of this CSS which will be issued on a Standard Form (SF) 1449. The material requested by this solicitation is shown below in the Schedule of Supplies. The contractor shall deliver the rock salt within 3 to 5 days after notification from the government POC. The government will order a minimum of 20 tons per call. The Government is estimating a quantity of 1000 tons, but the contractor shall be paid for the actual number of tons delivered. The quantity is an estimate only. Salt shall be transported tarped and shall be dry and free of debris.
