## Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD PURCHASE ORDER TO UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO FOR A DEMONSTRATION DOUBLE-SLIT EXPERIMENT DEVICE.

The U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Professional Services Acquisition Unit intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order (PO) to The Regents of the University of Colorado,3100 Marine St. STE 481 572 Ucb, Boulder, Colorado, 80309-0001 for a demonstration double-slit experiment device.

The development and production is for the a double-slit experiment device that is to be used during University visits by scientist from various United States Government departments, including Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of Justice, National Science Foundation, and others. The period of performance will be 9/30-2024 – 06/30/2025 from the date of award with an estimated value of $200,000.00.

This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source which states “(1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).” This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations.

Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
