The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole-source, one-time, firm-fixed price purchase order (PO) to Creative Electron, Inc., [CAGE Code 54S43], 201 Trade Street, San Marcos, California, 92078 for one (1) TruView Fusion X-ray Inspection System. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334517: Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing; and the Product and Service Code (PSC) is 6640: Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, to Contracting Officer Bryan Lane, no later than 7:00 AM (EST) on 7 June 2024. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses shall include the firm’s Unique Entity ID (UEI) number and their Business Size. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
