The Markes Micro-Chamber/Thermal Extractor is solely manufactured, serviced, and repaired by Markes International, Inc., [CAGE Code 6YZV1]. There are no authorized third-party resellers. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.” The proposed contract action is for equipment and accessories/supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement and a proposal/quotation, which shall be considered by the agency no later than 8:00 AM (EST) on 14 February 2024.
