## Description

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland intends to issue a sole source contract to Nihon Kohden America (NKA) to provide equipment and installation to upgrade the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Sleep Research Center (SRC) Sleep Lab equipment. The contractor will provide Polysomnography (PSG) 1100 system and associated Polysmith data acquisition and analysis software with Polysmith Data Management Software (DMS) for participant data organization.

The requirement is in support of the WRAIR Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience (CMPN). In accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items, USAMRAA intends to award a sole source contract to Nihon Kohden America under NAICS code 339112;

**PSC:** 6515. NKA has been determined the only responsible source that currently possesses the required Defense Health Agency (DHA) accreditation granting it an Authorization to Operate (ATO). NKA meets the capability and cybersecurity resources necessary for the operational sustainment of the PSG Sleep Lab system which meets DHA’s information systems security regulations per DoD 8570.01-M and DFARS 252.204-7012. This notice of intent is for information purposes only.

Any other sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide services outlined above.
