The site is located on the east end of Rainy Lake approximately 27 water miles from the Rainy Lake Visitor Center or 37 water miles from International Falls, Minnesota. The site is only accessible by boat or float plane. While these buildings have been historically used as overnight accommodations and food service, the NPS is seeking concepts and ideas for adaptive reuse of the buildings or changes in the overnight accommodations and food and beverage.
