BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY: As the Department of the Navy increasingly relies on autonomous platforms to support Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO) and extend the tactical edge, the Navy desires to significantly enhance its Command and Control (C2) capabilities within unmanned spaces. To ensure the command meets these future Navy goals, Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) is establishing a modern, independent Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) C2 Laboratory at the Surface Warfare Engineering Facility (SWEF). Other Transaction Consortium Vendors interested in responding to this RFS must be members of MATAC.
