## Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Description of supply or service required to meet the agency’s needs: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center, FPAC Acquisition Division, acting on behalf of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20250 desires to purchase a renewal access to Geo Studio licenses for the award of a firm fixed price purchase order.

Access to the Geo Studio licenses is required by USDA-FPAC and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) engineers. The applications are currently being used by NRCS engineers in NRCS state offices and national centers on complex engineering projects. These applications which include Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, and Quake/W are used by engineers to complete geotechnical analysis on complex earthen structures designs.

They are used to complete analysis such as slope stability, seepage, settlement, seismic, etc. for the design of structures such as earth embankments, embankment slopes, structure foundations. This software is required for design of complex NRCS conservation engineering projects.

The following Geo Studio licenses are required to help capture that information: Quantity of (6) SLOPE/W - Subscription Network License Quantity of (6) SEEP/W - Subscription Network License Quantity of (2) SIGMA/W - Subscription Network License Quantity of (1) QUAKE/W - Subscription Network License Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC) on behalf of NRCS, intends to contract with Bentley Systems, Incorporated 685 Stockton Drive, Exton, PA 19341-1151 to satisfy agency equipment requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.

In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs no later than response time provided. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to required POC. This synopsis is not considered a request for bid/quote/proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for technical information will not be honored.

No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.
