## Description

The requirement is for preventative maintenance service of an OMAX 55100 Abrasive Waterjet in support of Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 (MALS-16). Service of the OMAX 55100 requires an OMAX-certified service technician to conduct the PM service. Purchase order M0068124P0013 awarded on 30 May 2024 was for repairs identified during an initial diagnostic by Phillips Corporation.

A sub-sequent contract, M0068124P0034, was awarded on 31 July 2024 to conduct the repairs from the diagnostics to restore the OMAX 55100 to an operational status. Unit is requesting a base year plus 4 one-year options The anticipated period of performance is 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2029. Search of AbilityOne & UNICOR yielded no results. The government’s need can be met by services of a type customarily available in the commercial marketplace.

Phillips Corporation is the exclusive distributor for OMAX to the federal government. OMAX Corporation, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), provided a sole and exclusive source letter for the previous diagnostic service contract (M0068124P0013). Additional market research found that other contracting activities have posted a notice of intent to award sole source for Phillips Corporation (A-3, N61331-24-T-JC10).

Phillips Federal is a General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contractor, however, the required service is not on a GSA schedule contract. Phillips Corporation is not classified as a small business for the chosen NAICS code.
