## Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) negotiated and awarded a sole source contract to Staco Systems, Inc. of Irvine, CA 92618 for ruggedized military grade hardware. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Staco Systems Inc. is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy's requirement for the specified effort.

Staco hardware consisting of controllers, switches, and panels is an integral part of Propulsion Systems Interface and Steering Control Systems installed on numerous ship platforms in the U.S. Navy. Staco, as the OEM, is the sole designer and fabricator of this equipment, and as such, possess the proprietary technical data necessary to manufacture and provide maintenance for this highly specialized equipment to meet the Navy’s requirements.

The Staco components are currently in use in the fleet, were designed specifically for the Navy, and need to remain accessible for future installs on CVN 68, CVN 78, FFG and LHD/A ship Classes.
