## Description

Contracting Office Address – USA Medical Research Acquisition Activity, 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, MD 21702-5014 Subject: Notice of Intent to Sole Source a Contract for the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Science (AFRIMS), Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). The objective of this requirement is to provide to procure a prototype etofenprox product for use in a pressurized sprayer to put on uniforms. The Deployed Warfighter Protection Program has requested AFRIMS to evaluate in comparison to the standard permethrin treatment.

**Description:** The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD intends to negotiate a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, IAW FAR 13.5, to Warmkraft/Pine Belt Processing, Inc. (Perimeter Insect Guard).

The objective of this requirement is to provide to procure a prototype etofenprox product for use in a pressurized sprayer that the Deployed Warfighter Protection Program has funded AFRIMS to evaluate in comparison to the standard permethrin treatment on military personnel uniforms. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing.

Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide services outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 15 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
