## Description

This is a sources sought for a master BPA Vertical Wind Tunnel (VWT) instructor training and facility rental within a 30 mile radius of Fort Liberty, NC. Use of the VWT allows test parachutists to training on procedures in a controlled environment prior to using those procedures in actual skydiving. Wind tunnel training is critical to the USAOTC Airborne and Special Operations Directorate (ABNSOTD) test parachutist program and is one of the safest ways to train Military Free Fall (MFF) jumpers.

The vertical wind tunnel allows coaches to work with jumpers and fine tune their air skills and body position. This allows the jumpers to “fly” for an extended period of time. Wind tunnel training also allows ABNSOTD to prepare its MFF jumpers for MFF School. It is a vital tool that greatly enhances the ABNSOTD MFF program.
