## Description

This contract is to serve as a follow-on to maintain the inspections, load tests, and maintenance on the Fort Detrick overhead cranes & hoists. OSHA standards dictate that a yearly general safety and functional inspection be performed. Industry standards require a two year load test be performed on cranes and hoists.

The Scope of this contract involves four required objectives: Perform annual safety inspections and load testing every year (prefer no later than February to maintain previous date of inspection) and provide a report to the COR on the status, condition and required repairs to bring the equipment to OEM standards; Perform repairs to designated equipment as determined by the COR to bring the equipment back in-line with OEM standards for the specific hoist or crane hoists and cranes ranging from 500lbs – 10,000lbs lifting capacity.

Repairs will be initiated by issuance of a task order after the COR reviews the post-inspection report and decides which equipment will be repaired. Some minor repairs may be done by Government personnel and some equipment may be determined not economically repairable. Perform post-repair inspection of Government repairs to hoists and cranes to ensure equipment now meets OEM standards.
