Sole source determination is based on the fact that Neurostar Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment Sessions are proprietary to Neuronetics Inc. as only Neurostar chairs (currently in place at Eisenhower Army Medical Center) can be used with the proprietary treatment packs needed for the treatment sessions. Compatibility with the MTF’s current equipment and cost to purchase new equipment will unnecessarily result in redundancy. The treatment packs are a non-drug non-invasive treatment that use magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain that are underactive in depression. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510 Electro-medical and Electrotherapeutic and the size standard is 1,250. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
