## Description

The purpose of this acquisition is to secure a preventative maintenance and service contract from QIAGEN for instruments that are already onsite. The proposed vendor, Qiagen LLC, is the sole manufacturer and service provider of the listed instrumentation, and because they involve proprietary technology, no other vendor can provide nor has authorization to provide the required service.
