The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with University of Chicago, 455 N. Cityfront Plaza Dr. Suite 3250, Chicago, IL 60611 for a renewal Globus Connect Server (GCS) Subscription and Connector Access. The Globus server is used to move and share protected data, including HIPAA-regulated data and controlled unclassified information. Systems connected via the Globus service are configured with higher assurance levels and investigators manage protected data throughout the research lifecycle. This is used for collaboration on datasets via approved, compliant methods to accelerate the pace of research and discovery. The NEI (National Eye Institute) has deployed two Globus node servers that facilitate the connections between the storage and endpoints. The renewal of the subscription for this solution will cover the server deployment and address additional modules for expanded functionality. This renewal is to maintain the appliance with updates, patches, and professional support.
