The Structural Informatics Unit is studying the structure of influenza viruses complexed with antibodies by electron microscopy in which biological samples are applied to small discs called EM grids. Robust imaging of the sample in the microscope is critical to improve image quality and resolution. The laboratory requires the Rio 16 camera to attach to an existing electron microscope.
