The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Bio-Rad AbD Serotec GmbH, Campus Neuried, Anna-Sigmund-Str. 5, 82061, Neuried, Germany, to procure lab testing services for custom monoclonal recombinant antibodies generated through HuCAL technology. The lab will send samples to the vendor, testing against the patented technology, and results will be provided. The purpose of this procurement is for lab testing services. Lab synthesized antibodies will be sent to Bio-Rad, who will generate monoclonal recombinant antibodies through a patented technology, Human Combinatorial Antibody Libraries (HuCAL), a technology which Bio-Rad custom antibody generation service uses for the in vitro generation of highly specific, fully human, recombinant monoclonal antibodies in Fab and full immunoglobulin format. The lab will use these antibodies for in vitro studies including IHC (immunohistochemistry) studies. Our lab will be sending lab-synthesized/lab-developed antigens to the antibody manufacturer. With the antigens, the antibody manufacturer will generate monoclonal recombinant antibodies and send it back to us.
