## Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Cook Medical LLC. The National Institute of Health’s Clinical Center (Program) has hospitals and clinics that use catheters and are currently in need of more catheters.

The purpose of this acquisition is for angiographic catheters used to access the arterial and/or venous system to image the anatomy, and /or administer medication, chemo, intravenous therapy or even an embolic agent. Program is currently using Cook Medical branded Catherers and accompany components and needs to use the same brand of catherers for compatibility, consistency, and continuation of care. Program currently uses Cook Medical catherers and other products.

Cook Medical’s Slip-Cath is a part of Cook Medicals larger product portfolio of vascular products. These products help to expand treatment options, advancing procedure result. Because the Cook Medical catherers are compatible with other Cook products that Program currently uses, acquiring more Cook manufactured products allows Program to have consistency, compatibility, and provide a continuity of car..

For example, Cook Medical’s Retracta-Detachable Embolization Coil, and the Nester Embolization Coil systems are current used and preferred by Program physicians who perform the procedures. By using these items in conjunction with each other, our patients, physicians and researchers are afforded greater Continuity and Consistency of results and success. See the attached Bill of Materials (BOM) for more details on the exact list of required items and required quantities.
