The purpose of this extension is to continue to provide program, science, engineering, operations, and project management support for such efforts as biosciences flight development projects (e.g., mission implementation, instrument development, and technology advancement efforts), collaborative science programs (e.g., astrobiology, virtual institutes), aeronautics research projects, and various ARC offices. FILMSS Extension 6 will extend the contract period of performance (POP) by a maximum of three (3) months (May 1, 2024, through potentially July 31, 2024), consisting of a one-month base period and two (2) subsequent one-month option periods. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Devin Mooers at devin.m.mooers@nasa.gov not later than 5:00PM PDT on March 22, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.
