NIST had a recent failure of the portable chillers, for the Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) systems, and requires new chillers to restore optimal performance. GF Machining is the manufacturer of the Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) systems currently in use at NIST and only the manufacturer’s that can provide the chillers for the EDM. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333517– Machine Tool Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 500 Employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, responses received by 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on August 2, 2024, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
